This morning I went for a bike ride with lifetime friend Rod Pietila from Floodwood. We road from Grand Rapids to Gun Park and back, a distance of about 10 miles. It was nice to have a chance to ride and visit with Rod and to catch up on what has been happening in our lives.
This afternoon we drove to Deer River and visited cousin Dick Juvelin, his wife Fern and son Steve. There was a lot of campaigning by them for another Finnish Adventure similar to our Finnish Fun in 2001 adventure. It is nice to stay in touch with relatives we don't get to see often. I stopped by the Chevrolet Dealership in Grand Rapids yesterday and visited my cousin Chuck Jurvelin who I haven't seen in years.

Sounds like u are having a great time on this trip, and probably not yet ready to go home. Good food, old friends and family, etc. And a 50 reunion. Minnesota Finns know how to have fun!
We returned to Cape Cod June 10, and have been trying to catch up (house, garden, etc.)and still get in a little fishing. Now we are almost cqaught up.
Michele and kids were here for 2 weeks, and Naomi and Leo, our newest grandchild for 1 week. As u can guess, they kept Nana and Papa very busy, but we had a wonderful time with all.
The GPS was a very good investment, even Sharon is warming up to it.
